STUDIO ARIES RISING

What is this microblading business? Is it a face tattoo?

Why, yes, it kind of is.

Microblading does not use a tattoo machine gun, but instead a series of micro-needles positioned tightly together to act as a blade. This hand-held tool is used to create realistic looking hair strokes intended to enhance your natural brows. While we use the same ink as a traditional tattoo, we only place it in the upper dermal layer of the skin (rather than sub-dermal) which in turn fades over time. The retention of this ink varies per client; therefore, for most it is a semi-permanent tattoo that needs touch-ups.

About Ms Baz

Hey there! I am a multi-passionate, quadruple sagittarius who hates small talk and olives but loves a spicy marg and doing all thing visually creative. At this point, I have studied art and design for more than twenty years. A life-long fascination with eyebrows (weird, right?), cosmetic tattooing simply made sense along with my keen eye for detail. Graduating from DAAP aided in strengthening my critical eye, allowing me to see when something is merely a pixel off; while my background in art allows me to translate and transfer my vision of realism through needle and ink. I am constantly doing independent studies, taking classes, and gaining certificates to further my education in relation to cosmetic tattoos.

As someone who used to struggle with loving what they saw in the mirror, I love the idea of helping others feel confident even before their first cup of coffee. If you’re looking to be able to go without makeup, but still pass for having nice brows, I’m your girl. Natural-looking with room to go bolder on full-makeup days is always the goal!

I have a dog and two turtles; all of whom are rescues. My love of animals has caused me to be quite the advocate. Therefore, the inks and tools used in the practice are the most biodegradable, eco-friendly, vegan, cruelty-free products I could find; ya know, while also keeping everything of great quality and sanitation.

Chances are, as soon as you walk in the salon, I’m already of fan of yours. You’ve picked me as your artist, and I am humbled and grateful. I don’t get to see my clients very often, but I hope to create a positive and lasting relationship with you anyways. Come say hi!
